Hey everyone, welcome back to this week's blogs, For this week's blog, I will be giving advice to companies on how they can improve website traffic with reference to proven tips that have boosted website rankings.

As we know today, the internet is what most people go to for information, shopping, browsing, and much more, so a good website is essential to a business’s success.

My advice to companies to improve website traffic is:

1.      Improve Loading Speed

According to a study, pages at the top of Google ranking, load significantly faster than those at the bottom. As we all experience when searching on Google if something doesn’t open quickly, we usually give up and find a different website.

2.      Optimize your content with Keywords.

The use of keywords in your website will help contribute to an increase in website traffic. Knowing the search terms people use to find your website will help attract more visitors to the site. Examples could be ‘Next Day Delivery’ or ‘Natural Products’

3.      Use of Digital Advertising

The use of digital advertising on social media platforms and search engines, will increase awareness of your company and therefore increase the website visitor count. We all see them annoying ads on TikTok and Twitter but these spread information about a given company.

4.      Use of Influencer Marketing

Social media influencers have become much of the norm today, with almost every influencer advertising a company's product in each post. People who follow these influencers have a love for them and what to wear, use, and be like them. This can increase a company's website traffic.

5.      Send Emails that link to your website.

Everyone's inbox is filled with advertising these days, this is because it’s a proven way to increase a company's website ranking.

6.      Engage with your Community.

Offer sales, and discounts to your community, as we all know when we see a sale you are more likely to click on the website.

7.      Improve Public Relations

Publishing a press release or appearing on TV etc can provide credibility and boost brand awareness.

8.      Create good visuals.

Use design tools to make your website look good, make it stand out, and leave an impression on the users.

9.   Link Internally.

When creating and publishing content, be sure to add at least 1-3 links to other pages on your site to boost traffic.

10.   Audit your website.

Get an outsider honest overview of your website and see in which areas you need to improve.
